What an awesome fundraising night we had at the Oxford Restaurant last Saturday night! Thanks to everyone who supported the event – the companies who donated prizes, Oxford staff, Creative Corner staff and their BOT who helped on the night, parents for attending, those that bid and won the auctions, MC Peter Burt, Jess Loveday who made yummy desserts, and our talented musicians, Claire Burt, Neave O'Connor and Nick Goodwin. We are very happy to report this year we made a fantastic total of $7791. Well done everybody involved.
Timo'ru Movember Soap Box Derby
The Timaru community continually blows us away. A group of incredible people pulled off the return of the Soap Box Derby on Stafford street and it was a great day. The Oxford was in prime position for the race and even entered our own team on the Dorans old Dobbin. Although the very brave chef Sam crashed, it was done in spectacular fashion and he walked away with a huge smile and some good banter from his coworkers. We cannot wait for next year. We also were very proud to raise money for a great cause.
Timaru Bike Polo Fundraiser at the Oxford raises $10,635!
What a huge success!! Well done team. The team have qualified for the world champs being held in the USA in October and needed some help getting there. The Oxford hosted the fundraiser on Friday 7th July and was supported by almost 100 people. Thank you to everyone that came. We raised $10,635, from tickets sales, an auction and the Oxford donating the venue and bar profits from the night! Thank you to the generosity of many who donated their time, goods and prizes.
