We are a smart, polished bistro style restaurant with a small energetic crew, with a passion for simple great food and awesome wine. We also have craft beers on tap and a large wine list. Our supplier relationships are an important part of our business.

Job description:

You will need to be available 6 days, a mixture of days, nights and weekends.

In this position you will taking on recruiting, staff succession planning, training, stocktaking, financial forecasting and budgets, achieving financial targets, strategic management, cash flow monitoring, marketing in multiple forms, event planning, staff reviews, stock ordering, and the day to day operations in the restaurants.

Criteria of the position

  • Have a current manager certificate
  • Must be a New Zealand Resident
  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience of managing a team of 10 or more
  • Minimum of 5 years experience of managing a business: must have a full knowledge of current labour laws/ food control laws/ liquor laws/employment laws/ health and safety laws and how to apply them to a restaurant business
  • Experienced in: payhero payroll software, xero accounting, menumate and financial reporting and costings
  • Have a wide knowledge of craft beers and wines, local and international.
  • Must be available 6 days a week, day’s, nights and weekends, this is NOT negotiable
  • Be available to attend a practical interview in person at level 2.
  • Strong computer skills and good experience in outlook, windows, clouds based technologies, and database systems
  • Must be available to start immediately at level 2.
  • Must hold a current full NZ drivers licence (staff vehicle is manual)
  • Have good supplier relationships and contacts
