The Year that was – 2020 not all bad!
A bit of a bumpy ride was 2020, but we did manage to have some fun at the Oxford along the way.
Not forgetting Oxtoberfest and the home brew comp, Scoff food festival, Dog Point winemakers dinner, Timoru Soapbox derby, and our Winter Roast series. As well as more Weddings than we have ever done before and all the birthdays, anniversaries and work parties we help our customers celebrate.
This year we hope to have even more on offer for our club members – remember you guys get first choice to book our events before they are advertised to the masses – most times our wine events fill up before we advertise them. Another benefit for being in the Oxford Club.
A few extra acknowledgements are due as we navigated an uncertain time last year. The support of our amazing team was incredible – they remained positive and are still the reason why we are the best and consistently have awesome service and food. Also, some great businesses have helped pull us though the unknown, with special mention to Noone Plus and Cloake Creative.
Spy Valley Wine Table
One of NZ’s most successful family run wineries, exporting 8 varieties to 35 countries. Elsa will share with us the history and future focus of Spy Valley and lead us though a tasting of their great wines.
Elsa Morel from Spy Valley is coming to the Oxford and is hosting a tasting on 21st January. It’s a casual tasting as part of our wine table series. 5 tastings and a dinner for $45. These fill up very fast so please book now. Its one long social table as usual and a limit to 6 people per booking to give everyone an chance to come.
Bigger Wine list
After Covid19 close down we reduced our wine list by about 30%. Over the past month we have put some new wines back on the list, with more to come in the new year. They have been going down a treat with some great brands included.
