Oxtoberfest - Are You Our Top Home Brewer?
To celebrate our local brewers, the team at the Oxford in Timaru are bringing you: Oxtoberfest Sunday 14th October! The event will feature tastings from South Canterbury's amateur and professional brewers. More information about our event will be released soon.
In the meantime... The Oxford will also be hosting a competition for amateur home brewers in South Canterbury. Entries Close: Monday 8th October. If you are interested in entering, click here for competition details...
Wine Table
Our next wine table event will be held on the 30th August and is dark beers hosted by Michael, this table is already fully booked. There is still room for Septembers table which is Chardonnay. Please book soon as this will fill quickly.
We will have a small break from wine tables until the end of the year and restart them in January. We have listened to your feedback about the wine table and plan to rerun some of the wine tables we have already held with the hope of getting those who missed out the first time. They have been so popular and there has been a wait list for every event. So if you have missed out – watch this space.
Fathers Day
Sunday 2nd September. Daddy Burger lunch special is back!! With plenty of good beer available for Dad. Book now as its always a busy day.
Beauty and the Beast Pre Theatre Menu
Enjoy a meal and a show, we are hosting a pre-theatre special menu for South Canterbury Drama League's Disney's Beauty and The Beast every night of the show. 5-8pm, 21st-29th September.
We will offer our full A la Carte menu and a 3 course set special menu for only $39. Kids menu available too.
Monday 24th (South Canterbury Anniversary Day) is a public holiday and we are usually closed on a Tuesday, however we will be opening especially for the show. No surcharge for public holiday. Allow one hour to be out in time for the show. Book now to avoid disappointment.
Work with us - Experienced Waiter & Senior Chef
We have two positions available. A chef position has become available as Sam left us for new adventures out of the kitchen. The front of house position has opened up as Melissa leaves us to grow her family. We wish them the very best and are now recruiting for some new Rockstars to join the team. Please spread the word.
Experienced Waiter: We are looking for a full-time waiter. Seeking someone with confidence, fun character and great attention to detail. Must be available days, nights and weekends. A duty managers licence or the ability to obtain one an advantage.
Senior Chef: Full time. Chef de Partie or above. Join great chefs creating real food everyday. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit. Call: Mike between 3–5pm 021 684 141.
